Free Covid-19 Tests
The NHS provides treatment for people at risk of serious illness due to COVID-19. However, those who were eligible for lateral flow tests through NHS 111 or gov.uk before November 6th, 2023, can no longer use those routes.
Now, addressing our commitment to community support, Puri Pharmacy is offering free COVID-19 lateral flow tests to eligible patients. As a convenient option, you can simply visit our Southall or Hillingdon branch and pick up a kit.

Our service is free for patients aged over 12 years who are at risk of serious illness from COVID-19.
Our pharmacists will confirm your test eligibility through various methods upon your visit. This includes seeing your NHS letter or discussing the patient’s medical history with the patient or their representative.
Moreover, it’s convenient for someone else to collect free tests on your behalf – be it a friend, relative, or carer. However, to do so, they need to provide the pharmacy with your details, including your full name, address, date of birth, NHS number, and medical condition(s) to confirm your eligibility. This ensures a seamless and efficient process for accessing the necessary tests.
If you do not have a friend, relative or carer who can do this for you then you may be able to book a volunteer responder.
If you work in healthcare or hospice
If you work in healthcare settings or a hospice, you might qualify for free COVID-19 rapid lateral flow tests. Eligibility hinges on your job role and the presence of COVID-19 symptoms. For detailed information, please read the guidance provided. If uncertainty surrounds your eligibility, it’s advisable to speak directly with your employer.
