Urinary Tract Infection

What is a Urinary Tract Infection?

Lower urinary tract symptoms also known as LUTS are common in women of all ages, especially between the ages of 40 to 60. For most women, the symptoms come and go, but they can be ongoing and interfere with normal life. At Puri Pharmacy, our pharmacists are experts in diagnosing and treating Urinary Tract Infections.

Signs and Symptoms of a Urinary Tract Infection

Urinary Tract Infections (UTIs) are very common among women. They are normally caused by a bacterial infection in the bladder. A UTI can cause:

  • Lower stomach pain
  • A soreness or burning sensation when you pass urine.
  • A feeling you need to pass urine more often.
  • A feeling that you need to pass urine urgently.
  • The urine may look cloudy or have blood in it.
