NHS Stop Smoking Service
Our Stop Smoking Service is available at our Hillingdon branch, offered by our friendly Pharmacy team. With our support we can massively boost your chances of quitting for good.
Our Pharmacy team are expert advisers and will provide a range of proven methods to help you quit.
They’ll give you accurate information and advice, as well as professional support, during the first few months you stop smoking. Our consultations are one-to-one and in person, to help you get the best service possible.
Our team at Puri Pharmacy will make it easy and affordable for you to get stop smoking treatments, such as nicotine replacement therapy.
What happens in the first consultation?
At your first meeting at Puri Pharmacy, you will meet our Pharmacy team and you’ll talk about why you smoke and why you want to quit, as well as any attempts you’ve made to quit in the past. You’ll also be able to decide on a quit date.
You’ll be offered a breath test, which shows the level of carbon monoxide – a poisonous gas in cigarette smoke – in your body.
At your first session, you’ll also discuss stop smoking treatments available to help you.
These are nicotine replacement products, including patches, gum, lozenges, inhalators and mouth and nasal sprays.
Quit smoking with your free personal quit plan

Preventing relapse
You’ll have weekly face-to-face or phone contact with our team at Puri Pharmacy for the first 4 weeks after you quit smoking, then less frequently for a further 8 weeks.
At each meeting, you’ll receive a supply of a stop smoking treatment if you’re using it, and have your carbon monoxide level measured.
You will be supported all the way by our friendly expert team.

The NHS Stop Smoking service is free. Your consultation at Puri Pharmacy is free.
You may be required to pay for nicotine replacement therapy under the NHS Stop Smoking service unless you are exempt from paying for prescriptions.
No appointment is necessary, however you are more than welcome to book online if you prefer.
You can simply walk into Puri Pharmacy in Hillingdon and we will be able to help you stop smoking now or whenever you are ready.
Please note appointments can take up to 15 minutes giving you and our pharmacy team plenty of time to find the right treatment for you.
