How does the Private Prescribing Clinic service work?
1. Book Your Consultation
Schedule an appointment at your preferred branch (Southall or Hillingdon) either by booking online through our website or by giving us a call. Same-day appointments are usually available. We also accept walk-in requests if our prescribing pharmacist is free, so feel free to pop in and ask – we’ll do our best to accommodate you.
2. In-Person Consultation with our Private Prescribing Pharmacist:
You’ll meet with our pharmacist prescriber in a private consulting room. They will discuss your symptoms and medical history and may ask relevant questions to understand your health concern fully. This one-on-one consultation is thorough but friendly – our pharmacist will listen to your needs and explain everything in clear, simple terms.
3. Assessment & Treatment Plan:
After evaluation, the pharmacist will determine the best course of action. If you require medication, they will write a private prescription for an appropriate treatment. (For minor ailments or common conditions, this could include antibiotics, creams, inhalers, etc., depending on what’s needed.) They’ll explain how to use the medication and any important advice to ensure you feel confident about your treatment plan.
4. Immediate Prescription Fulfillment:
Once issued, your prescription can be dispensed immediately at our pharmacy counter. In just a few minutes, you’ll receive the prescribed medication before you leave. You won’t need to visit another pharmacy – we handle it all right here. Of course, if for any reason you prefer to take the prescription elsewhere, we can provide the paper prescription as well.
5. After-Care and Follow-Up:
Our service doesn’t end when you walk out the door. We encourage you to reach out with any follow-up questions or concerns about your medication or condition. If needed, we can arrange a follow-up consultation to monitor your progress or adjust treatment. Your health is our ongoing priority, and we’re here to support you until you’re feeling better.
