Sore Throat
Sore throat also known as pharyngitis is very common. It is normally caused by an infection in your throat. The infection is most commonly a virus, but can also be caused by bacteria.
The symptoms tend to go away after a few days and you can use simple over the counter remedies to relieve your symptoms.

Sore Throat Symptoms
Pain in the throat is the most common symptom of a sore throat. However, you may also have the following:
- A mild cough
- A fever
- A headache
- Mild nausea
- Tiredness
- Difficulty swallowing

Antibiotics for Sore Throat
Most cases do not require antibiotics. Antibiotics make little difference to how long symptoms last as a sore throat is often caused by a virus.
